Terminology
Server
At the heart of the C4P platform
lies CMTC's proprietary medical terminology service, a semantically
linked collection of terms, concepts and relationships that provide
the key competitive advantage of the application. Services for the
management of knowledge for collaboration within the professional
community and all commerce reside, connect and operate within the
platform.
vGroupTM
vConsult is implemented for a group of physicians centered on a
specific medical specialty, service line, or domain of expertise,
resulting in a virtual group (vGroup).
Within the vGroup each physician can create a unique profile, defining
his/her core medical knowledge, skills, and business/financial requirements.
This profile is then used to create an online presence within the
vGroup. Once these medical expertise providers have been setup and
defined on vConsult, a physician requesting a consultation can enter
and submit a case using their vClient
software giving them access to the vGroup. vConsult matches the
case and patient?s needs to the expertise and services offered within
the group, quickly identifying the most appropriate provider to
handle the case. From there, vConsult 's workflow engine ensures
that all necessary information is communicated between physicians.
vEnterpriseTM
vGroups created within vConsult can be aggregated into a
Virtual Enterprise (vEnterprise), such
as a hospital, spanning full business entities or organizational
units representing profit centers. Each Enterprise can administer
the internal and external relationships of each of the vGroups.
